2.5mi Easy Run β€” June 3, 2026

Hit the roads this morning for my Week 2 easy run and actually listened to the instructions for once. Kept it at 6:07/km, which felt almost too relaxed at first, but that's the whole point. I'm learning that "easy" means easy, not "easy but let me sneak in a faster pace because I feel good." The 2.5 miles went by quickly, and I finished feeling like I could've kept going, which is exactly how these runs should feel.

The hardest part of marathon training so far isn't the long runs or speed workβ€”it's forcing myself to slow down on days like this. My ego wants to push every single run, but my legs are already thanking me for the recovery pace. 24 and a half minutes of just moving, breathing, and not checking my watch every thirty seconds. Two weeks down, ten more to go.
